La Causa Summer Camp

La Causa Summer Camp at the Clementina Castro Education Center

Summer should feel like freedom, but kids still need routines, connection, and safe spaces to grow. Our full-day summer camp for students entering K5 through 12 years of age combines learning and play in a supportive environment where campers can build confidence, friendships, and social-emotional skills. We help prevent summer learning loss through daily reading, journaling, math, and hands on science activities that feel like fun, plus active games and field trips that keep kids curious and engaged all summer. Camp runs from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday – Friday and includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks, so families can count on a safe, consistent place for their child to learn, move, and thrive while school is out.

Summer camp is full of hands on fun and community adventures, including:

  • Milwaukee Brewers game day experience

  • Park trips like Cushing Park and other local favorites

  • Nature exploration at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center

  • Milwaukee County Zoo adventures

  • Field trips to ponds and outdoor nature spaces

  • On-site special guests and shows

  • Field day games and active outdoor play

  • Creative science activities that feel like play
