Careers in Technology
The Careers in Technology curriculum focuses on teaching the skills to help our students think critically and solve problems in preparation for science and technology based careers in the future.
A Careers in Technology curriculum includes:
- Robotics
- Launch / Project Lead the Way (Medical Detectives, Design, and Air and Space)
- Computer Science I and II (Web & App Design; Animation & Special Effects; Coding)
- Video production through our Eagle News Network (ENN)
Dual Language/Two-way Immersion Program
The Dual Language/Two-way Immersion Program seeks to develop academic, oral and cultural competence for all students at La Causa Charter School. The goals of the program are for students to successfully perform academically in both Spanish and English. Students will be able to use English and Spanish comfortably and effectively in both academic settings and social settings. In addition, students will communicate effectively through reading and writing in English and Spanish at their appropriate age level. Lastly, students will demonstrate an appreciation for cultural diversity and cross-cultural competence.
Before & After School Program
The Before & After School Program offers daily homework tutoring with a strong focus on math and reading. Students get interactive project-based learning that supports many learning styles.
Extracurricular Activities
After school sports and enrichment give every child options for exploring creativity, engaging in physical activity, discovering new interests and strengthening learning skills. We are proud to offer a variety of activities such as:
- Cultural Dance

- Girls on the Run and Boys on Track
- Sports & Martial Arts
- Robotics Club
- Art Club
- Eagle Scientists
Summer School
We offer free, half-day academic summer school focusing on reading, math, and science for five weeks in June and July for K4 through 7th grade. Additionally, we offer an afternoon enrichment program for K4 through 7th grade, for a nominal fee, that builds social/emotional skills, problem solving, and critical thinking skills that connect to academics. Students attending the morning portion receive breakfast and lunch daily; students attending the afternoon portion only receive lunch daily.
